I like to keep it really simple, so these are literally the only products that I use for my face for this look. No, no filling eyebrows (if you don't want to), no crazy liquid make-up blending, and no eye shadow! I know you make-up pros are all gasping in shock, but honestly, I have the hardest issue with eye shadow. I can't blend it, I can never figure out which shades go where, and why are there so many damn brushes for the smallest area of your face?
The products I used are the Smashbox contour kit (in medium/dark), Nars Orgasm Blush, L'Oreal True Match in Sun Beige, Lorac Pro Mascara, Lorac eyeliner in brown, and my Elf brushes.
Start with a moisturized, clean face. Apply the L'Oreal foundation. I found that it's key to moisturize or put primer on before hand for this powder foundation to apply evenly and stay! Now move onto the contour kit. I only use the highlight and the contour, not the bronzer. Sidebar, this kit wasn't totally worth it ($45) because the highlight isn't the best (I'd like some shimmer) and my CVS Milani bronzer works better than this bronzer. Rookie mistake. Start with the contour and contour your cheeks and the sides of your nose. If you haven't contoured before, you can take a peek at the cheat sheet on the contour kit above or check out this awesome resource.
In place of bronzer, I use my Nars Orgasm blush. Everything you've heard of this miracle product is true. It really does work on all skin tones. From Lindsay's fair skin to my tan olive skin. It looks great on both of us! For the winter time, I often get pretty flushed coming in and out from cold weather, so I keep the blush light. If you're trying a more dramatic version of this look, try this.

Then off to the highlight. Highlight the "V" between your eyebrows, the middle of your nose, and right above where you applied the blush. Now, blend your whole face to make sure you are streaky. Ta-da, cheeks and face done. Now just the eyes are left.
Yeah, I know I should have plucked my eyebrows before I took these photos. It was an impromptu shoot, so don't judge me.
For the eyeliner apply in short strokes. I pull the side of my eye to help create an easy wing. Keeping the strokes short assures that I don't go overboard on how thick the line is or how far I draw out my eyeliner wing. I usually wing my eyeliner but keep it simple and small like this. I also like to stick with the brown eyeliner because it's a softer look for a date that compliments my eye color. Going out at night, I'll switch it up to my black gel eyeliner. Lastly, curl your eyelashes and apply mascara.
Viola! You're done.
I love this look because it's simple and quick to apply. It accentuates my natural beauty instead of masking it and your significant others will love it too! I also want to thank you for getting through this whole tutorial. It took a lot for me to get the courage to do a post like this and I hope I can share more "make-up newbie" tips or even some step-by-step tutorials with you in the future. I hope you like the look too!
